The Good Calls
Our everyday lives are steered by the numerous decisions we make throughout the day.
But there are some significant decisions that shape our lives for the decades to come.
I like to refer to these life-changing decisions as the Good Calls, and here are some that I’ve made over the last decade:
- 2015: Turned down a traditional corporate job for a role at an early-stage startup, where I learned significantly more and set up a good foundation for my career
- 2016: Walked out of a toxic relationship that was mentally draining and would’ve snowballed into a bigger mess
- 2018: Married the love of my life and gained a supportive partner in life
- 2019: Stepped out of my comfort zone and went on my first international trip, which gave me enough confidence and enthusiasm to explore more
- 2020: Learned to drive a car, reducing our reliance on cabs and adding freedom to roam anywhere in the country
- 2021: Brought home a bundle of joy, aka a golden retriever who helps me get through stressful times even today
As life goes on, I plan to make more of these constructive decisions in the next few decades, which will outweigh any wrong turns I take.
Here’s to all the Good Calls in life. 🍻
