Talk to Your Friends

I talked on the phone for over three hours with an old friend last Saturday, and it felt fantastic.

It had been months since we last caught up, and there was much to discuss. Naturally, I didn't realise how fast those three hours passed.

Come to think of it, when I received a message from him wanting to talk over the phone, I was conflicted. On the one hand, it was a Saturday, and I wanted to get as many personal tasks done that day as I could, and on the other, I wanted to catch up with my friend, too.

Ultimately, I quickly finished whatever I could by early evening, hopped on a call with my friend and had good laughs and a lively conversation.

In our busy lives, we often get so caught up in our own problems and daily chores that we let the relationships and friendships around us wither.

We no longer have time to talk to our friends or family. We've become too busy.

But, if we allocate even the smallest portion of our time to have a hearty conversation with a friend or a family member, it could ease up the stress and challenges that we might be going through at the moment.

Therefore, let this short essay be a reminder to take time out of your busy schedule and catch up with that old friend or someone who makes you feel good while talking.

It'll be absolutely worth your time.
